You might be looking forward to a gala in 2019—Hyde Hall is taking this year off to focus on providing a rich array of musical programming and experiences. Throughout August and September 2019 we have a full schedule featuring the Musicians of Ma’alwyck’s Civil War Era Musicale/After Her: The Loves of Clara Schumann Concert feature/Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman Concert/ and Chatham Baroque. It is because of generous supporters like you that we can host these events and celebrate the arts—please consider giving to Hyde Hall. We hope you can join us at the upcoming special events this summer!
April 20 10:00 am SHARP Leatherstocking Credit Union Easter Egg Hunt and visit by the Easter Bunny
Annual event sponsored by Leatherstocking Region Federal Credit Union with prizes – raffles – and a visit by the Easter Bunny! Free and open to the public.  Rain or Shine!
May 11 12:00 to 3:00 pm Celebrate Mom! Garden Party
Give Mom a first look at the new carpet – curtains – and restored walls in the Dining Room. Treat her to tea and sweets in the library of our 200+ year old English Country mansion. See the magnificent Hyde Hall silver and other artifacts from our Collections. Free and open to the public.
May 11 1:00 pm CONCERT: Musicians of Ma'alwyck
The musicians of Ma'alwyck will perform a concert of 18th century French music which includes works of the Chevalier de Saint-Georges and other French composers from the Paris Opera and orchestras at the time. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

May 17 10:30 am Season Preview Tour
This special 90 minute tour allows guests 'behind the scenes' to check out what's new at Hyde Hall in 2019 with our Site Manager. Cost: $20 per person. These tours involve 90 minutes of walking/standing and climbing stairs. Call 607-547-5098 – Ext. 4 for reservations.

$15 per adult; $12 for seniors – military – youth 13 to 17; Children under 13 free! Hourly; First Tour starts 10am; Last Tour starts 3pm.

July 11 6:30-8:30pm Concert – Eight is Eneuf
Indulge in an evening of madrigals and folk songs with Eight is Eneuf at Hyde Hall. No tickets are required – but seating is limited. Don't forget to visit the bar—drinks by donation.

Experience a Civil War-era encampment featuring soldiers in authentic uniforms drilling and performing tactical maneuvers and singing stirring period songs!  Free and open to the public.
August 18 7:00pm Musicians of Ma'alwyck: Listen to the Mockingbird
The program features works by includes works of Stephen Foster; Septimus Winner; Meyerbeer; Flotow and Rossini; as well as popular songs of the period. Tickets are available through the Hyde Hall online store at $10; children under 18 are free. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

August 21 5:30pm After Her: The Loves of Clara Schumann Concert
Now a summer tradition: Hyde Hall welcomes artists from the Glimmerglass Festival for a music program that examines the complex love stories of Clara Schumann. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

September 7 6:00pm Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman Concert
Enjoy a charming evening of Traditional Celtic and Folk/ Contemporary Celtic/and Jazz Instrumental with Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman who are world-class musicians. The Irish Times calls their work "music of fire and brilliance from the hi-wire act in traditional music." The duo werer recently awarded “Concert of the Year” and Chris named "Male Musician of the Year" in the 2019 Live Ireland Awards (learn more visit www.maireandchris.com) Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

Hear members of this world-famous group perform in Hyde Hall’s fabulous Drawing Room. Tickets will be available through the Hyde Hall online store at $30. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

October 6 4:30pm Macabre Music Musicians of Ma'alwyck Concert
A program of scary music featuring works for voice and instrumental sextet of John Williams/Arthur Foote/Richard Einhorn/Gerald Finzi and Camille Saint-Saens. The concert includes the world premiere of the Hyde Sextet of Max Caplan. Inspired by the ghost stories of Hyde Hall/the work scored for flute/ harp and string quartet is reminiscent of the grotesque scherzo movements of Gustav Mahler. Caplan is a noted ascendant composer whose suffrage-themed opera Aleda was premiered in June of 2018. Musicians of Ma'alwyck is delighted to bring this fun/eerie program to Hyde Hall. Who knows—maybe the ghosts will drop in to hear it!

Visit all the spooky places in the Mansion where ghostly manifestations have been reported for over 150 years – including those identified by Ghosthunters(c) in their Halloween special on the SyFy network. Reservations required; tickets will be available through the Hyde Hall online store at $20.00. These tours sell out fast so don't delay! Tricks and treats for Halloween!
