DescriptionMarble monumental figural mantel clock. The patinated figure on the top of the clock is Hannibal among the ruins of Carthage seated upon the marble cube that holds a gold clock face. Holding both the clock and the figure is a green marble base decorated with gilded molding and laurel motif. The clock is inscribed with the phrase “Ledure Bronzier”. The movement is signed “Hemon A. Paris”.
